The short version

So what is Zhao Dogg?

In one lineA survival game where you play a stray dog holding a half-ruined valley together, and the pack is everyone else playing it.

Emberpine Vale is a pine valley wedged between a live lava flow and a snow line that keeps creeping down. Four winters ago the mountain opened, the road went under, and the people left. The dogs did not, because nobody came back for them. You wake up as the newest stray with a bandana and no memory of the road in.

From there it is an ordinary day's work in an extraordinary place. You range out through the treeline, the ash flats and the drifts, and you bring back what the valley gives up: deadfall, obsidian, hide, whatever the ice is hiding this week. You turn it into planks, blades, smoked meat, a door that shuts. You dig a den worth coming back to. You take orders from the trapper post, feed a packmate, learn which pines drop deadfall after a storm.

And once a night, somebody takes the ridge and watches the pass until morning. It started as superstition after the slide. It has caught three fires and a rockfall since. That is where the name comes from, and it is the whole idea of the game: the valley only stays open because somebody keeps walking it.

It runs in a browser tab. It is free to play, free to leave, and the wallet is only there for the handful of things you actually own. When you do connect one, it is an ordinary BNB Chain wallet — MetaMask, Binance Wallet, Trust Wallet, whichever you already use.

A day's work, not a clicker

Forage, haul, craft, repair, build. Nothing pays out for tapping a button — everything pays out for finishing something the valley needed.

One valley, many strays

Everyone works the same ranges. You will meet other dogs on the trail, trade forage, split the long hauls and open the blocked crossings as a crew.

Seasons that bite

Weather, night and a snow line that moves. What you can find, where you can sleep and how far you can range all change with the calendar.

Ownership is optional

Play the whole game without connecting anything. The chain only shows up for the rare things you own and want to keep, trade or prove.

The ledger

How you earn

$zDOGG is paid for work the valley needed doing. Every route below starts as ordinary play — you can walk all of them without ever opening a wallet, and connect one later if you want to keep what you earned.

6 ways to earn
01
Forage contracts

The trapper post posts long orders: forty planks by the thaw, resin before the next storm, whatever the season is short on. Fill one and the payout scales with how hard it was and how far you had to go.

Free to run
02
Trail projects

Blocked crossings are opened together. Put in materials, labour or funding, and when the crossing opens everyone who contributed splits the completion pool by what they actually put in.

Free to join
03
Seasonal competitions

Each season closes with ranked runs — deepest range, best haul, most trail work. Rewards come out of a fixed seasonal pool, weighted by difficulty, skill, time committed and bot checks.

Claimed onchain
04
Rare finds

Obsidian veins, caches buried under the drifts, whatever is under the ice at Frostmere. Most of it is ordinary stock. A few pieces are scarce enough to settle onchain as something you own outright.

Some settle onchain
05
Crafting & the marketplace

Make the things other strays need and cannot make yet — knapped blades, cold-weather gear, workshop rigs, bandanas. List them, keep the margin, and pay a small fee back into the pool.

Settles onchain
06
Crew performance

Crews take on hauls nobody finishes alone. A crew banks a share of everything it opens, and the treasury pays out to the dogs who carried, not just the ones who signed up.

Field record · Winter four

Nobody planned for the valley to burn.

Emberpine Vale was a trapper route once. Three families worked it, a road ran through the high pass, and the lava on the east side stayed politely where it had always been.

Then the mountain opened. The road went under in a night, the pass slid shut behind it, and anyone who could get out got out. They took what they could carry. The dogs stayed, because nobody came back for them.

That was four winters ago. The pack that is left knows this valley better than the trappers ever did. Which pines drop deadfall after a storm. Where the ash flats stay warm enough to sleep on. Exactly how long the ice on Frostmere holds in a thaw. They kept the old trails open the only way anyone can, by walking them.

Every night one of them takes the ridge and watches the pass until morning. That is where the name comes from.

The ValePine forest in the middle, a live lava flow on one side, a snow line creeping down the other. Warm ground and deep drifts within an hour of each other.
The PackStrays who stayed. A scout who has run every ridge path, an old hound who reads weather better than any instrument, a digger who can open a collapsed den in an afternoon.
The WatchOne dog on the ridge, every night, until morning. It started as superstition after the slide. It has caught three fires and a rockfall since.
YouThe newest stray. Woke up under a fallen pine with a bandana and no memory of the road in. Nobody asks where you came from. They ask whether you can carry.

A wild valley, tamed by the pack that lives in it.

Zhao Dogg is a browser based foraging, crafting and survival game. You wake up in Emberpine Vale with nothing but a bandana, dig out a den, and turn a hostile stretch of wilderness into somewhere a pack can live. Cozy simulation first, optional onchain ownership second.

The long game

Turn a frozen, smoking valley into somewhere worth coming home to.

Every forage run feeds a build. Every build opens a trail. Every trail brings the vale back.

One pack, one valley, and a set of trails that only stay open if somebody keeps them clear.

Everything about how the vale works, the daily loop, the seven ranges, how forage becomes stock, how packmates and crews fit in, and how a pack of strays opens a valley together.

Project overview

A handmade valley,
held by the pack.

Zhao Dogg is a browser based foraging, crafting and survival game. You wake up in Emberpine Vale as a stray with nothing but a bandana, and by ranging through the pines, foraging what the forest, the lava field and the snow line give up, crafting what you need, running errands for the trappers and clearing blocked trails, you gradually turn a hostile valley into a home range.

It combines cozy simulation with social progression and optional onchain ownership. You start with one hollow under a fallen pine, a cold firepit, a scrap of hide, and an introduction to the other strays working the same ridge.

The core loop

Six steps, one waking valley

Every forage run feeds a build. Every build feeds a trade. Every trade opens another trail.

The world

Welcome to Emberpine Vale

A pine valley wedged between a live lava flow and a snow line that keeps creeping down. Warm ground on one side, deep drifts on the other, and a forest in between that will feed a pack all year if you learn it. The old trapper trails are still cut into the hillside, they just need someone to walk them again.

7 starting ranges
Forage & production

What the valley gives up is only the start

Work the treeline, the ash flats and the drifts for raw material, then process it into things the pack actually needs. What you find depends on the season, the weather, the range, your gear and how well you know the ground.

Packmates & the Society

Recruit other strays, a scout who knows every ridge path, an old hound who reads the weather, a digger who can open a collapsed den. Packmates need feeding, a warm spot and attention, and each opens up work you cannot do alone.

  • Well-kept packmates bring back rarer forage and unlock ridge shortcuts
  • Consistent care raises trust, which unlocks their story and their look
  • Some will sniff out caches buried under the drifts

Crafting: the heart of the den

Crafting turns raw forage into things with a use. Advanced recipes unlock through exploration, reputation, friendships, skill progression and pack milestones.

  • Tools, den furniture, lamps, storage, cold weather gear
  • Trade stock, packmate gear, workshop rigs, bandanas
  • Building materials for trail work, the pack doesn't just live in the vale, it opens it up
Trail work

Trails open together, or not at all

Trail projects are shared. Anyone can contribute materials, labour or funding, and progress is visible to the whole range. A finished crossing changes what everyone can do, new ground, new routes, new seasonal events.

Trappers & crews

A valley is the pack in it

Trappers, the forge-keeper, the old hound at the pass, the ranger who maps the snow line, they hand out work, trade, teach recipes and remember how you treat them.

Zhao Dogg / Tokenomics

$zDOGG, utility first, speculation never the point

The token exists to make ownership, trade and shared range funding real. Play stays fast and free; only the things that need to be provable settle onchain.

Sustainability by design

Forage earned through play is continually consumed by building, crafting, tool repair, upgrades, packmate care, recipe creation, marketplace activity, crew development and trail projects.

Rewards come from controlled seasonal pools, weighted by mission difficulty, player skill, time commitment, unique contribution, crew performance, bot checks and economic conditions.

BNB Chain

Zhao Dogg settles on BNB Chain, with $zDOGG as an ordinary BEP-20. Ownership is portable: what you earn is a token in your own wallet, readable by any BNB Chain tool, not an entry in our database. Binance is the rail we point people at to buy and hold it — the app a lot of players already have, rather than a new exchange opened just for this valley.

BNB Chain Fees in BNB BEP-20

Binance Wallet talks to the EVM in a tap; MetaMask, Trust Wallet and every other BNB Chain wallet work exactly the same way. No wallet is required to play — connect one only when you want to claim a season or settle a trade.

Offchain, fast & free

  • Movement & forage spawns
  • NPC routines, dialogue, seasons & weather
  • Basic inventory & mission progression
  • Real-time multiplayer interactions

Onchain, ownership

  • Token balances
  • Eligible collectible ownership
  • Marketplace settlement
  • Crew treasury actions
  • Seasonal reward claims & competition results

Nothing here is financial advice. Rewards are not guaranteed income, and every mechanic above is a design intention rather than a promise.
